An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Athlete Development Coordinator to work alongside an exceptional UC Rec and Sport team.

What You Will Do

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Athlete Development Coordinator to work alongside an exceptional UC Rec and Sport team. You will promote and develop the profile of sport and increase participation in sport activities at UC, thereby enhancing the overall student experience. This role includes the coordination of the Sports Academy Programme and mentoring of UC Sport Coaching interns.

Who You Are

You will have a Bachelor's Degree (NZQA Level 7) in the area of Sport Science, Strength and Conditioning, Physical Education, Sport Coaching, Kinesiology or similar, as well as experience in the development and implementation of sport programmes. Involvement in Sports Academies is beneficial but not essential. You will have experience working with high performance athletes as well as experience in writing and delivering strength and conditioning programmes. In addition, you will have the ability to competently use all modern office technology and excellent organisational skills including the ability to cope with competing demands and work independently.
